LEADERSHIP

Kathy Mangan, Landscape Architect
Founder of Laying Groundwork and the Learning Center at Red Willow in Missoula, Montana, Kathy has long been interested in health and well-being. She leans heavily on what she has learned from many years of gardening and being in nature. Since planting her first radish seeds at age 4, Kathy has experienced the natural order of things and learned valuable lessons about patience, control, and timing. She brings this timeless wisdom to her work.
As the Landscape Architect for Laying Groundwork, Kathy puts her relentless curiosity to work staying current on health and well-being research and helping to develop relevant curriculum in cooperation with experts in various allied health science fields. She is dedicated to making even the most complex content accessible to and practical for every audience.
INSTRUCTORS
Laying Groundwork instructors cover a broad range of wellness subjects on both the individual and corporate level, and are also engaged through our advanced live or online Corporate Leadership trainings and consultation services.

Andrea Foran
Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and Licensed Addiction Counselor in the state of Montana. She is the Chairperson for the Montana Association for Marriage and Family Therapy and serves on the board of the Montana Association of Alcoholism and Drug Abuse Counselors. Andrea specializes in navigating the effects of substance use disorders on family systems and teaches Laying Groundwork courses on addiction recovery and support.

Angi McClure
Neuro-based Movement Therapist, utilizing Chinese Medicine to help people find balance in their lives with appropriate movement and lifestyle. She teaches corrective movement based on Functionally Applied Neurology and medical Qigong in one-on-one therapy sessions as well as in her self-created group fitness classes. Angi teaches courses on functional and restorative movement and lifestyle mechanics.

CHRISTINE WHITE
Has practiced as a Naturopathic Physician for nearly two decades, specializing in hormone health and complex and chronic health cases. She is a former Governor-appointed Member of the Montana Alternative Health Care Board and a past President of the Montana Association of Naturopathic Physicians. Christine teaches on a variety of health topics, always focused on the interaction between emotional-mental wellness and physical health.

Erin Steele
Financial Advisor and business owner with over 10 years of experience in financial services. Erin encourages people to talk about money and passionately believes financial literacy is an empowering aspect of personal wellness. Erin teaches Laying Groundwork courses on healthy money matters, including personal and family financial planning, budget creation, understanding
common investment terms, and more.

GREG GALLO
Certified mediator through the Center for Dispute Resolution in Santa Barbara, California, and is an Associate Member of the Montana Mediation Association. He served as a chaplain in the hospital system and in hospice for over a decade and has extensive experience in high-stress group dynamics. Greg teaches courses in transformative conflict mediation, consensus culture, and group communication dynamics.

HEIDI MORETTI
Registered Dietician of over 20 years, nutrition blogger, and author of "The Whole Body Guide to Gut Health," Heidi focuses on functional nutrition and research to get to the root cause of illness. Heidi teaches Laying Groundwork courses on nutrition and gut health.

Kathy Mangan
Passionate about optimizing human potential. She is dedicated to whole mind/body/spirit health and focuses on offering both thought-provoking and practical ideas to help her workshop participants best grow their own individual and organizational potential.

Krista Brayko
Naturopathic Physician with specialties in chronic pain, sports medicine, and regenerative injection therapies. With a prior career as an Architect, she incorporates a practiced ability to view the human being as the complex integration of multiple systems that must all contribute to the health of the whole. Krista instructs on a variety of wellness topics to support the healthful integration of health in mind and body.

Margaret Coffey
Naturopathic Physician focused on primary care, chronic disease management, and integrative cancer care. As a former college instructor, Margaret especially values education as the foundation for making empowered lifestyle shifts toward health and healing. She teaches courses on establishing basic, but impactful, wellness habits.

Mari Hodges
Therapeutic Pain Specialist, Certified Alexander Technique Teacher and Art of Running instructor passionate about teaching self-care and self-development skills. She teaches pain education, embodied awareness and movement, and coaches individuals for pain and stress reduction. Mari specializes in empowering people to recover mobility, enhance performance and discover personal transformation and freedom of choice by changing long-standing habits of posture, movement and thought.

Michelle Voigt
Certified Hypnotherapist who has been helping her clients creative positive change and reach their goals for over 14 years. Whether it is managing stress and anxiety, weight loss, addictions, pain management, or personal transformation, Michelle uses progressive relaxation, guided imagery, and hypnosis techniques to remove unwanted habits and beliefs and integrate the mind-body connection. Michelle contributes to Laying Groundwork courses by incorporating techniques to empower students to reach their full potential with ease.

Patrick Marsolek

Russell Kolts
Ph.D., is clinical psychologist and Professor of Psychology at Eastern Washington University, where he has taught for over 16 years. An internationally-recognized trainer in Compassion-Focused Therapy (CFT) who regularly conducts CFT trainings around the world, Russell is the author of a number of books, including CFT Made Simple, Experiencing Compassion-Focused Therapy From the Inside Out, and The Compassionate Mind Guide to Managing Your Anger. He teaches mental and emotional wellness courses for Laying Groundwork from a Compassion-Focused Therapy perspective.

Natura Health & Wellness Clinic is a naturopathic health clinic in Western Montana that puts patients first and treats individuals and underlying causes, not just symptoms.
Founded in 2019, Natura Health & Wellness was created with the goal of opening a premier naturopathic medical clinic in Missoula that combines the talents of multiple physicians and practitioners in order to provide patients with excellent, cost-effective care.
Non-profit organization focused on empowering individuals targeted by prejudice and mistreatment. EmpowerMT provides support and leadership development to interrupt oppression, prevent violence, and resolve conflict, as well as develop organizational strategies to build just systems. EmpowerMT has partnered with Laying Groundwork to provide organizational trainings on topics that support collaborative corporate culture such as prejudice, inclusivity, and customer service for diverse populations.
