Financial Wellness Matters

Financial Wellness – start a healthy relationship with your money.
Here are a couple of key steps that are simple and make a big impact on your goal of establishing healthy money habits.
Prioritize debt. High-interest credit card balances are bad debt. Pay it off, pay it off and pay it off. If you have multiple cards analyze the interest rate charged on each card and prioritize payments on the card with the highest interest rate first.
Enroll in auto-savings. A great way to help yourself to save is to have it come automatically out of each paycheck. Set this up for the entire year ahead- any amount is better than none. Check the dollar amount every 3 months and see if your budget allows you to increase even by $5.00 or $10.00, before you know it you’ll be saving more than you thought you could!
Use technology. Sometimes figuring out a budget, expenses and savings is enough to deter you from ever getting a true grasp on your finances to begin with. Let technology help! Many financial sites offer free online debt calculators and there are available apps that will assist in tracking your budget and expenses, so you don’t have to worry about the calculations.
Let’s start a new conversation around money and begin the steps to building financial wellness.
